6:40 — Dad Company
Dad Company is the baddest, daddest improv troupe in Mobile! Formed from the “four fathers of improv,” DadCo creates full-length one-act comedies on the spot with audience suggestions. They’ve performed in many venues throughout Mobile, as well as ren fairs, conventions, and comedy festivals in several states. Their sharp, playful style, fun characters, and zany plots earned them a Lagniappe award for Best Local Comedian in 2025.
7:05 — Close Quarters
What happens when three strangers get stuck in an elevator—and one performer plays them all? In Close Quarters, improviser Jay Revis creates three unique characters, each with their own quirks, passions, and philosophies. In one scene, the characters navigate rising tension, awkward confessions, and unexpected connections—all made up on the spot.
7:40 — Pandemic! @ the Disco
Join award-winning musical duo Pandemic! @ the Disco for a fully improvised hero’s journey. Audience suggestions define the “hero” (portrayed by musical director Robyn Helwig) and we see their character-driven journey supported by Matt Johnson as Every Other Character in the World™.
8:05 — Mime vs. Mouth
A storyteller spins true tales from your suggestions, then two master mimes transform them into hilarious, wordless scenes. Back and forth they go—story inspiring mime, mime inspiring story—in a completely improvised, one-of-a-kind show!
8:40 — defrancisCO
Friday Night Headliner
defrancisCO is regarded as the first show worldwide using an audience member selected randomly to do a fully improvised set – with veteran improviser Tara DeFrancisco. The -Co is selected by drawing, and three simple rules at the top connect the participants and set the tone for the piece. Named “best of season” by Chicago Tribune, and “punk rock improvisation” by Chicago Reader, this show has residency at two homes and tours to festivals globally.
9:25 — Middl ePart
Middl ePart is as absurd as it is heartfelt. Liz, Gair, Tucker, and Connor combine a myriad of backgrounds such as sketch, music, and clown to bring you improv that is one of a kind.
9:50 — Once Upon a Rhyme
This freestyle rap duo turns your favorite movies, TV shows, and novels into tracks so catchy you’d think you heard them on the radio. Everything is made up on the spot and they keep it fun all the way through! Featuring Dylan Oakes Rohde (who founded The Backline, Omaha Comedy Fest, and the hip-hop show Gett’n Rowdy,) and Rodney Conyers, Jr. (who trained at Freestyle Love Supreme and travels the country doing eSports Commentary).
10:15 — Punch Drunk Pariah
Born in a lab at Birmingham’s Faraway Theater, Punch Drunk Pariah performs fast-paced, long-form improv. They are known for their larger-than-life caricatures in real-life scenarios that bloom into the fantastical.

5:40 — It's All About Amy
It’s All About Amy is the unscripted story of one woman’s life. It’s art imitating life… or is it the other way around? Only Amy knows!
This festival show combines show creator Amy Angelilli (St. Augustine, FL) with veteran improvisers Daniel Dagesse (St. Petersburg, FL), Steven Disbrow (Rossville, GA), and Kelly Teague (Birmingham, AL) for a MICC-only experience!

At Bay Cities Story Company, we believe stories aren’t just told—they’re lived. Whether on stage, in the classroom, or at your special event, we create experiences that spark imagination, inspire laughter, and build connection.
6:40 — Drum Machine
Drum Machine is Jill Bernard’s one-person sweepingly epic unscripted musical featuring multiple characters in scenes, monologues and songs in collaboration with a musician. The show opens with a brief interview of an audience member, then Bernard creates a musical that weaves details of their life into a historical period suggested by the audience.
7:05 — Last Minute Request
Born out of Faraway Theater, LMR has been thrilled to be a part of Birmingham’s budding indie improv scene. Memory, Caroline, Ryan, Madi, and Debbie started out as classmates and have loved performing all over the city with other friends from the theater. Chemistry and commitment have led to LMR finding great success over the past year and they are honored to be a part of the Mobile Improv Comedy Carnival.

HERE!, one of the most celebrated shows globally in the artform, is the original two-person improvised musical with Tara DeFrancisco and Rance Rizzutto. Deemed “Nothing Short of Genius” by NPR, this show has been brought to more than 24 countries and 85 cities worldwide so far. HERE is known for residencies in two theatres: iO Chicago and The Nest Theatre in Columbus as a featured mainstage act around ongoing tours. Funny, beautiful, and charming, HERE “has shown something new and amazing is possible in improvisation” and has been called “groundbreaking” by audiences around the globe.

Big Bang Improv delivers high-energy free-form improvisation that’s fast, fearless, and completely unscripted. With bold choices, sharp listening, and strong group mind, the ensemble creates explosive comedy in real time, no structure, no safety net, just momentum. Every show is a one-of-a-kind experience built in the moment and gone forever.
9:45 — ImprovUSA
ImprovUSA is the improv troupe at The University of South Alabama specializing in short form improv. We play games that last 5-10 min where we take suggestions from YOU about the location, topic or relationship for the scene. We’re a group of college students who love to entertain, laugh, and make jokes about ourselves!
10:10 — Super Scaries
Super Scaries: The Improvised Horror Musical will have you screaming for your life — and singing along! Inspired by everyone’s favorite nostalgic teen horror book series, the cast will improvise a fully original musical based on an audience suggestion of one unusual object that causes havoc around their weird little town. Readers beware!
