The MICC is dedicated to celebrating, elevating and advancing the art of improvisational comedy and extemporaneous theater in Mobile, Alabama. Our inaugural festival in April 2026 was a smashing success, welcoming performers and audience members from around the country to the Mobile Carnival Museum for a weekend of improvised comedy. We received 100% perfect scores from our audience and performers on feedback surveys, and our festival became a Finalist in the 2026 Lagniappe Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Local Arts Event.
